Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Roofing Contractor
Does the company have Liability and Workers' Compensation Insurance?
Yes, we have liability insurance that protects the home and any valuables in or around the home. We also have our personal Workers' Compensation policy that covers all workers while on the job at your home. Be careful of some companies that have Workers' Compensation exemptions. In those cases, that does not protect the home owner in the event of an accident from being sued. Ask for proof of insurance!
Are you getting personalized service or are you just another roof?
We believe that whether you have a small roof leak or need a total roof replacement, you should receive our one on one personal attention and service until the job is complete and the customer is satisfied.
Is the roofing company locally owned and operated?
Yes we are! Owner and roofing contractor Clay Bozeman has lived in the Tallahassee area for twenty-six years. We believe that working where you live ensures that we strive to make every customer happy, as they are our friends and neighbors.
Does the roofing contractor have a residential contractor's license?
Clay Bozeman, owner of Blackfoot Roofing & Construction, holds a roofing and residential contractor's license. What does this mean? Well in some cases while performing a re-roof, the roofer may encounter a problem with a structural component. A licensed roofer can't repair structure damage, meaning he will have to hire another contractor to come and handle the problem. Blackfoot Roofing & Construction can handle any problem that may arise on a residential home.
